All refresher courses, such as Transfusion Science, Histotechnology, Chemistry, Hematology and Microbiology, as PLA report suggested me take all those courses before taking exam for certification.

about 350, 200 in the morning and 150 in the afternoon, and about 50 of the questions don't get counted as a mark. Management and molecular and implied investigation are on the exam this year as well.

Hmm they put a book list on the CSMLS site of which the exam questions are referred to. Are those useful? I just finished and passed my refresher course Transfusion science and would like some tips and or text material for the certification exam. Any help is greatly appreciated. oh wow. thanks for the input. i don't know why...but i thought that a medical technology type lab would be less dangerous than a chemical/biochemistry lab which i have experience in. that is dissapointing though...

I'm reviewing the book of cuviellos..it is the summary of all the subjects for lab technologist except that it doest have histotech subject.I just borrowed it but you can get it online thru amazon.com plus you can also order the Quick cards by valerie Polansky..i heard that this is a very helpful reviewer.

Good luck. And remember, some units of measurement are different in the US. For example, they use mg/dl for Glucose and some other chemistries. Also, Hemoglobin is given in mg/dl while here in BC they use mg/L. The only other thing is the use of the term "normoblast". I was used to "nucleated RBC" instead.
