You can work everywhere with the ASCP, I could not pass the exam, also I could only get my associate degree.

Have you got any idea how many real techs you're spitting on when you post stuff like this. Not everyone works at the Ritz and you guys are pitiful.

Yea, the AMT is a pitiful exam. I could not pass the ASCP so I had to take that pathetic exam.

I also wanted to get my BS degree in med tech but I was not capable of passing my classes.

So I am left with my associate MLT and some tissues because I cry every night about my life!

I wish this field was standardized BS MT ASCP only entry level so our pay would go up and they could not hire a lonely MLT like myself for 15/hour.

I'm a MLT(ASCP) with an 2 additional years of study at a 4 year school. After a few years of experience, took and passed the MT(AMT) now get paid as an MT.....So since my employer is paying me as an MT there is no need to go back to school to get the ASCP----,not moving, staying put in NC!!!
