What is the average uniform for a MT/CLS? Also, I'm thinking about working in Colorado - anyone know what it's like to be a medical technologist here?
Thanks!

It depends on the place. In hospitals, CLSs generally either wear business attire or scrubs. I prefer scrubs just because I don't feel like trying to decide what to wear early in the morning.

like CLS48 said, it really depends on the place you work at. I know some hospital here in Seattle have a dress code (business casual), or at where i work, Univ. of Wa Med Center, we dont really care. in our lab just wear whatever (of course no open toe shoes...which is standard)

In our hospital it's either scrubs or business attire. Of course we have to wear a lab coat in the lab at all times and no opened toed shoes.

I like the way scrubs feel. They are definitely comfortable, and if I buy them big enough, they hold up to my squirmy, active body. That said, the best I can look in them is like the kind of woman who could take down a psychotic patient on meth. Fortunately, lab coats hide a multitude of sartorial sins.

A weeks worth of sateen dress shirts (wrinkle free, no need to iron out of the dryer), silk ties, flat front pants and loafers. People will be calling you Doctor for no reason.
