Mga kababayan!

I can help you guys just answer these questions first so you wont have a hard time applying

1)are you a BSMT graduate or BMLS graduate? california requires 1 year internship BSMT are okay but with BMLS im not yet sure.
2)Wait for your confirmation in your email, has it arrived that you passed?
3)Have you sent your transcripts to the AACRAO for evaluation?

if yes and you are a BSMT here what you do first

1) Go the CDPH LFS website, create an account then apply for CLS license which is $203.00 non refundable.
2)Wait for the signed atestation, then sign and mail it to the LFs
3)Send all documents required to LFS
-Transcripts evaluated from AACRAO
-Record of internship/training directly from your school
-Get your confirmed results from ASCP via Student National Clearing House pay $15.00 i think.
4)Wait 10-15 week for documents to be processed (ito po ang matagal na waiting period)
5)wait for your CA unique ID then take online quiz(you can take it over and over again until you pass kaya dont worry :)
6)Look for your name in the CDPH website. :)

its that easy. I hope nakatulong ako sa inyu :)

Hello,
I am a qualified medical technologist from ireland. I appreciate that you are not a licensing or education board or a recruiter I feel you may have some filed knowledge. I saw your email as a point of contact for a medical technologist job in America. To begin I would like to explain my qualifications. I have a five year undergraduate degree in Biomedical science from an Irish university. I have also recently completed my postgraduate masters from a British university, meaning I have obtained licenses to practice in both countries. I have undertaken modules in all five disciplines associated with medical technology. My major subjects are Hematology and blood sciences, while my minor is Clinical and Biochemistry.

Having graduated top of my postgraduate Hematology class, I have obtained in total over 2 years worth of laboratory experience. Currently I am working in a large hospital in the south of Ireland in the Hematology and Blood science laboratory.

At present, I qualify for a years visa which can be extended from Ireland to the United states. I am very interested in working oversees as a medical technologist. I would not be requiring any form of sponsorship or visa as I already am entitled to one.

Do you require specific licenses that your med techs must obtain? Is this the ASCPi license. I qualify for this easily and believe I can pass the certification exam. That said I dont want to go through that process and find that there is a more specific license required. Any information you may have would be greatly appreciated. I am very interested in moving to America especially your state so any advice you have would be so helpful. I think I would like to move to NY I understand this is seperate to the ASCPi license but I would look into other states, but I am not sure of anything so much grey area and red tape! please can some one advise me!

I already had the cls trainee license(2010)& I applied the ca cls(2012). Do I need to send my transcript to LFS again? It's less than 3years, so I think LFS has still kept my documents.

I would think you need an SSN because that's how they tell you are a citizen and eligible for employment. Every job I've had requires your SSN.

I just passed MT ASCPi exam yesterday. I graduated from Taiwan and I have the SSN. Is there anyone can tell me how to apply for CA license after passing the exam? it seems like there are many requirements for applying the CA license. What's the next step I should do? Do I need to have to do more internship in the US?
