The clinic that I work for wants to go to line counts instead of page count or characters.

My question is:

If I type 1,000 characters @ 65 per line (including spaces and expanders), how many characters is this? I dont know why this has me so stumped. Probably just exhaustion.

I answered you on another post hun.

But, take the total number of characters and divide by 65.

For example, if you typed 29066 characters, divide that by 65, and you get 447.17 lines.

hi, in reviewing your question, i see that the question itself may be faulty. you say, "If i type 1000 characters,...how many characters is this?"
did you mean, "how many lines is this?"

Most companies have software that figures out the total lines for you. The 65 refers to the number of characters in the line, so 1000 characters would be equal to about 15 lines.
