I am currently going to school for Medical Transcription and I too was wondering how you gain experience in the field. I started looking around at positions while I'm attending school and it seems like everyone wants at least 1 - 2 years experience. How do you gain the experience if nobody gives you a chance right out of school? |

I am also-looking for a job as well, I am sure you found one by now right? I am still hoping, applying, and praying..... |

Have you applied with Spheris or MedQuist? I thought career step grads have a good chance with these companies? |

I recently graduated (6/30/09) from an AAMT accredited school (WPT). I applied to both Spheris and MedQuist, but nothing. I am almost in tears because I have been looking everyday, all day. I don't think I will every find someone who hires newbies. There should be a place with experienced mentors to train new MTs and if there is, why don't I know about it or why wasn't I made aware of it when I was in school? |

I just finished my training in medical transcription. I'm still looking. Are the real at-home jobs worth the time? So you really get paid well or barely? Is there really companies out there that hire new grads with very little experience? Please help?? thank you |
