My name is Djuana and I have an Associates Degree in Medical Transcription. I have worked at a small hospital in New Mexico for the last 4 years and currently they outsourced my position, so I decided to try getting a position at home, but I am not having very good luck. Any suggestions as to what steps I need to take to make this work.

You could first try doing some job searches similar to what you're looking for on indeed.com. Here's one I did that seems to fit what you're looking to do: www.indeed.com/jobs?q=%28Transcribing+or+transcribe+or+transcriptionist%29+medical+%22from+home%22&l=&radius=

You can get some great background information on any job listing by clicking on the "more actions" link located on the bottom line of each listing. This will offer you direct links related to salary, locations, company searches, as well as links to social networking sites like LinkedIn and Ryze. Try networking on these sites and meet some people in the industry who can offer you some advice on how to get started.

I am also having issues with finding any part time to full time work in the medical transcriptionist field. I just graduated from Penn Foster in May 2009 and have been trying really hard to find some work.

I have been out of school from PennFoster.edu and I cannot get a part time job with Medical Transcriptionist. I am having issues with placements since May 2009 and still no luck. I have tried all the hospitals in the area in any administration area and still no luck. I need help too!

Is Peen foster a good university to obtain a Degree in Medical Transcription? I have searching for days and I can't find any reviews about PennForster.com? Please, let me know your opinion. Thanks
