You will need to take certain licensing (CGFNS)examination board exam to practice nusing in the US. Besides that, hospitals would also required for you to pass and score decent in TOEFL and TSE(Test of Spoken English).

Getting someone to sponsor you at the moment is next to impossible , because there are no visas available for nurses, i am in the same situation, and so are a lot more nurses. But having said that don't give up searching for sponsors , you just can never know.

Put your resume online and of course if you have passed your NCLEX that will make things easier. I also suggest that you walk into any hospital and go to their HR to find out how they can help.

I just graduated from a US college and am waiting for my OPT to get here as well as preparing for NCLEX. I am having the HARDEST time finding a hospital t sponsor me. I sent my resume to someone at atlas rehabilitation like 2 weeks ago and I have still not heard anything back from them. I am still working as Staff nurse in Philippines. 6 months nurse trainee in Critical Care Units in the hospital and will be 1 year as staff nurse this coming september (rotated in between special areas and MS) but currently assigned in MS right now. I am 27 years old . I have signed up with JJH and my papers is still to start soon. They allow and encourage me to work with other hospital institutions in other places or countries to gain more experiences as long as it is under working visa and not greencard sponsorship.
