Newt Consulting in New York, New York

As many of you may be aware, starting a home care agency in New York can be a lengthy process. For those that are interested in getting the ball rolling early on, it is worthwhile to consider starting a Consumer Directed Personal Assistant Program (CDPAP). It can help you quickly get started and is a great supplement to your business once you are licensed.

For more information, check out our article here: www.newtconsulting.com/resources/consumer-directed-personal-assistant-program.

We also help with the licensing, operations, and marketing for traditional home care agencies. Check out our website: www.newtconsulting.com/ or email us at homecaresetup@gmail.com for more information.

I am considering to start home care business and was wondering how the billing process works? How do i get paid by Medicare? How much do they pay? Do other insurance companies pay for non-medical services? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Simsgirl - A lot of it depends on the state you are looking to start your home care business. Typically Medicare does not pay for non-medical services and if they do, it is for short-term cases. Regarding the payers for long-term care you are really looking at Medicaid, long-term care insurance, or private pay.

If you are interested in speaking more about the licensing process and billing, feel free to contact us at homecaresetup@gmail.com or visit our website at newtconsulting.com.

Is someone deleting my posts? It would be better to leave a stub saying that instead of just having them vanish.

The point is without a physical address to verify and the ability to contact an organization to see if a live person answers. The only thing someone can do is figure it is a SCAM and to protect themselves move on without providing information.

You could send pictures of any office and no one will know if it's really you. They would need to verify the address and maybe do a corporation search to see if the legal entity really exists.

Hello everyone,

I have a question...

I opened a Private Duty Home Care company in Michigan last year and I have been providing care for over a year now. I recently found out that it is possible to provide skilled care (RN) for an insurance billed case. I was told this by another home care owner. He said somewhere along the lines that in order to do this, you would have to operate under the RN's NPI number. Is this true? I feel like there is much more to this and I would like to understand this process more.

I ask because we received a call from a case manager asking for our rates and if we can provide nursing care in my area.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thank you in advance!!!!!

It has been well worth the fee and they even give me referrals of people looking for care services in my area.

Do you have any more info you can share on them?

I was reading your review on AHI Group inc startup home care page. A partnership I'm in is heavily looking into them. Is there any first hand experience you can tell me about?
