I am presently in Dallas fortworth,TX usa with H4 visa and recently i got Texas RN License,if anyone tell me about hospital sponsorship in Dallas fort worth area. |

Hello Kavitha, Unfortunately at this time, it is very difficult to find a visa sponsor as an RN. Your situation is even worse because your dependent visa does not allow you to work. Once retrogression lifts, and visas become available, you may be able to find a visa sponsor. Keep in mind that your chances are better if you are willing to relocate. Thanks,

Jill Harris in Pompano Beach, Florida said: Actually, Kavitha, I work for a firm that can do that for you. We have contracts with hospitals in Texas. It would a permanent position with the hospital and they would pay for your visa. Please email me at usa@hclplc.com To find more about our firm go to www.hcl-america.com Hello Jill, Kavitha, How is it possible that HCL can provide employment to Kavitha who is on an H4 visa? The H4 category is not work eligible therefore she cannot work in the US. Further, there are no employment based visas available for nurses due to retrogression (since October 2006). So how is it possible that an HCL client hospital can obtain visa sponsorship at a time where no one else cans sponsor? Are they cap exempt? If so, there are many nurses on this forum that could benefit from your service. Thanks,

Justin Bass in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania said: Hello Jill, Kavitha, Thanks for your inquiry Justin. There are hospitals in the country that are bringing nurses in with bachelors degrees on other visas besides an I140. If any nurses would like assistance with these opportunities we would be more than happy to assist them. We are a ethical firm that was founded by a nurse and 50% of our recruiters are clinicians including myself, I was a social worker prior to entering this field. Warm Regards,

Hello Jill, I think it would benefit us all if you let the forum know what other types of visas nurses are eligible for. H1B is capped for the year and cap exempt institutions are rare to sponsor H1Bs for RNs due to approval difficulty. There are the following 14 hospitals (that I know of) as eligible for H1C but they don't seem to be sponsoring at this time: 1. Beaumont Regional Medical Center, Beaumont, Texas
We have also been exploring the J-Visa rout but have not heard of any success stories for nurses. Thanks,

HI Jill, sorry, we are brand new to this. I just read all this and I am confused, that it seems difficult to work in USA as a R.N. Nurse. Our daughter started nursing school in Florida and was told that if she made her bachelor it is easy to stay and work. Hospitals will offer her right away a place and a green card. Is this correct or not. Hope you can help me stop worrying. |

I am graduating from a nursing school in May (2 year program in RN) and I have a B.S in biology from an US university. I completed my OPT after getting the B.S. and I am not sure if I qualify for another OPT after an associate degree. I would like some feedback on how to go about getting a job/visa/green card in California or nearby states. |

I'm an RN in florida. I got my licence 8 months ago. My actual status is also an H4, and I will LOVE to work, specially in a hospital, but if it has to be in a doctors office I'll take too. I dont know what to do or where to search info about this. Does any one know if there is any hospital around miami or broward that is offering sponsors? |
|
Cornelia in Munich, Germany 10 months ago |
As far as I was told, if you are a R.N. it is very easy to get a job offer in a hospital and they offer you soon a green card so you stay. I hope for you and me that this is true! |

My fiancee is a soldier with the U.S Army and I have been planning on relocating to the U.S for years, however due to personal issues on his end the K1 visa isn't an immediate option for me. As an RN in Australia, I have been searching for other ways to get across to the U.S.A and had planned on simply travelling on a tourist visa in the hope that I could get employment sponsorship? I have no idea how the cap sits for the H1A/H1B visa's at the moment but am very very eager to explore this possibility with ANYONE! Many thanks,

Hi pooja,R u Indian nurse?,you can do the NCLEX-RN exam, without change your visa. But if u r plan for the higher study i think u have to change your visa in to F1-Student visa, college will help you to change this visa an in this visa u can work 20 hours/week.But instead of that u have to get US RN license from any one of the state.presently retrogression is going on so now we r in the situation is difficult change our visa status in to workpermit.Hopefully March-May we will come to know whether it will end or still continue. If it ends we can get a chance to change our visa in to work permit.

Vanessa The H-1B filing for Quota for FY 2010 (start date from October 1st 2009) will start from April 1st 2009. Normally the quota runs out on day 1 or week 1 itself so you may want to hurry on H -1B filing if you are looking at that option. Assuming you are an Australian national, you may want to try for a E-3 Visa also. |

Hi pooja,I dont have any idea about DMLT related jobs here, but if u want to do the nursing education either u have do study diploma in nursing(three years) or BSc in nursing(4years) course. After that u have to do the NCLEX-RN exam,it is the state license exam and it is eligible to do only after finishing the nursing programme. |

How were you able to get a license with that kind of visa? I have tried to apply but they keep telling me that I should be under an F1 in order for me to be accepted in the upper division nursing as they would have to be able to provide enough documents during clinicals. I'm also in the DFW area. |

Hi .. I am a RN with TN license. I got it almost a month ago. I am on OPT and have been looking for a job on the internet. it is harder than I thought. I am willing to work anywhere in USA. As an Asian RN, even though I graduated in USA, it is really hard to find a nursing job and sponsorship for my work visa. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

hello everybody
my advice : dont waste too much on it if you are not ready
While the backlog reduction efforts of USCIS and DOL and the new PERM process for Labor Certifications have received much commendation from all corners, the paradoxical result of this increased efficiency is that many foreign nationals will have to wait for many years to receive the coveted American Green Card. take care |
|
linda in Paris, France 1 month ago |
here is the website who will tell you all the truth www.visapro.com/Immigration-Articles/?a=327&z=63 better to know this and to start telling your nurses friends what to expect
i dont mean to be rude and i apologize if i sound like that , i mean well i just dont want nurses foreigners like me to spend a lot of time and money and be aware that they will have to wait a very very long time anyways check the website above and see for yourselves |

Hi I leave in Dallas, TX and currently on Student Visa, Studying RN at Dallas Community college. I will be finishing my Nuring this December'09. and I need to find a hospital who can offer me OPT on my student Visa. Do you know any hospitals which i can approch?
Thanks |

Hi Ekta, Just read your comments and would appreciate if you can address my question. I am a nursing student on student visa and will be doing OPT soon. But I have two questions;-- 1. For how many years a nurse can do OPT one to two???
I heard that a student need to be a citizen or resident of USA to get a license. Is that true?? If so how do you get license to work as a RN on OPT? Did you get your licence immediately as soon as you applied it? What documents do you need to submit as a proof that even though you are not a citizen you can legally work in US? KINDLY LET ME KNOW Thanks DT |
