Nursing Assistant Salary

I just happened to look at the nursing assistant salaries for Baltimore, Maryland and there is no way on God's gorgeous green earth that nursing assistants make that much money. That's insane. Where are they getting these salary totals from? I know one nursing assistant who has been at her job for over thirty years (and she's pretty pissed off about it) and she doesn't make that much money.
I don't make that much money.
I have a question. I walked off my job today can that go against my certification.

The salaries that are listed are someones dream! In eastern NC Cna's are getting a disgusting $7.00 per hour!!! Ten years ago in Vermont I was earning $11.00 per hour with full benefits!!!

It all depends on your experience, some places in Baltimore,start at $10.00 or more an hour, depending on where you go, mostly just coming out of class is about $10.00.

What is going rate 4 myrtle beach,South Carolina.Also North Carolina. Took classes before just didnot get state cerficated.

NC wages are an insult, don't bother working as a CNA here! Plus they treat you like dogs. Seven years ago I was making over $11.00 per hour in
Vermont, this year when I looked into doing it again, the pay was $7.00 per hour, with experience!!! Forget it!!!

Thank you very much,I work as an asstaince at a store now, I love my job . Except I feel sometimes like it isnot worth it. Feels like I am not fast enough. I keep trying different ways 2 improve, THANK YOU SO MUCH
