Networking available?

I have been a Nursing Home Administrator for 4 years in Kansas and 4 years in Indiana. In May of last year, I received what I would call the "kiss of death" when the facility I was responsible for received an IJ for resident abuse. For over a year, I have been trying to get my foot in a door...any door, but to no avail! I would really welcome the opportunity to run a small facility, or move into the Assisted Living arena, but feel I need the right connections to make that happen. Any Advice?
