I am looking at switching careers to become an Nursing Home Administrator. I currently have a BA in Business Administration, and work in Human Resources. I am 25 years old I have recently become quite interested in this field and think it would be very rewarding to me. I plan to take the NHA Exam this winter.

But, after reading everything on here, it sounds quite difficult to get a job. Can anyone offer some feedback or has anyone else been in the same position?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Would recommend you look at the larger health care corporations who offer AIT programs if you are willing to relocate. Many will take other degree but in WI you need at least a one year internship and the course work. Unv.of WI-OC has an excellent program where many have gone with other degrees to get what they need for the LTC license.
