You sound like you are an administrator? Are you? Some folks are willing to help just a little like yourself...and others are selfish and don't want to help at all..I too am looking for an AIT is the Cleveland Ohio area... |

I'm a recent graduate of FAU. I'm looking for any AIT training programs. I have the preceptor list from Florida Department of Health. One of the biggest problems that I have found, is the list is not up to date. Several companies and individuals have stated they no longer participate and wanted to have their names removed. I was wondering if anyone out their knew of any current AIT sites. This is very overwhelming to new graduates. One thing that people forget is they all were once in the shoes we now stand in. This program is mandatory and their should be a list of willing participants. If anyone knows of an AIT program in Florida please feel free to email me jameslpn95@yahoo.com. |

Does anyone know of anywhere that is looking for AIT's in Silver Spring Maryland, Takoma Park Maryland, or Rockville Maryland? I have a Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Management and also recently completed my MBA. I really need to get into an AIT program very soon. I have visited and called a few places and nothing yet. Why does it seem like the Nursing Home Administrators do not want to help the younger generation? If there is anyone that can help me with some directions and help, I would greatly appreciate it. chancelynwalker@yahoo.com |

Chancelynwalker, I wish you the best of luck with your endeavor, but don't think it is younger generation. I got my MBA last October 2010, been an LPN for over 28 years with exceptional experience in the medical field, and yet I still can't get or find an AIT program. I applied to top companies and get passed by each and every time. Keep trying....pcassoday@yahoo.com |

james W. Cameron in Syracuse, New York said: Does this mean that I must take the 5 courses first before seeking an internship? Do you know what courses I need to take. I am completing an MBA In health care management in December. Look at your state requirements...In Kentucky you have to have your BS in Healthcare Administration and you have to apply to take the exam. So check with your state board. |

I'm about to graduate with my Bachelors in Healthcare Administration from the IU School of Medicine in May and I'm looking for an AIT program preferably in Indiana. Although I would not object to relocation, but does anyone have any advice? Also, do you need a license to be an AIT? I thought you completed the AIT program then applied for your licence. Thanks for you time! :) The company i work for, Century Park Associates, is seeking an AIT at our assisted living community in Indianapolis. Please email me at ldavenport@centurypa.com for more information. |

Please email me at ldavenport@centurypa.com for more information. Lauren, I was wondering if others can apply for the AIT with the company Century Park Associates, by emailing you their resume and cover letter and a letter of recommendation from a Supervisor. I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing and also completed my MBA Business Administration with honors back in 2008 December. I am willing to relocate in any state to get into the AIT program. I am ready to start my career. Others that are looking for an AIT Program in Indiana I just recently applied for American Senior Communities has a place in their South Bend, IN facility. Check out their website. Adam |

I have been looking for an AIT program in Tennessee since 2009. I have gotten the preceptors list from the state, and it was not updated, or the Administrators do not wish to take anyone on anylonger.....Does anyone else have any ideas....I see Healthcare Administrator position posted frequently, but nobody is willing to help those who actually wish to become a good Administrator. I have been a Licensed Practical Nurse for almost 30 years, with my MBA. |

Good luck on finding a position. I have been looking for 14 months and so far I have heard I will hire you as an CNA and maybe we will try doing the training with you, or sure we'll help with your training only to return home to a message that says, "I'm sorry but there is nothing here to help you." Therefore, I have returned to school for my masters in Organizational management with a specialization in Human Resources. I do hope that you find something out there. Susan |

I have my BS in Health and Human services and have worked in healthcare for 16 years in various positions learning the in's and out's of longterm care. Currently I am looking for an AIT position in Ohio I am even willing to relocate if I need to do so. Can ANYONE give me any pointers on where to look? I have researched Trilogy Health Care, Extendicare and ManorCare with no luck at this time. Also what are the best practice exam materials to get for Ohio? Also if anyone has taken the Ohio exam recently I am willing to pay for materials. Please feel free to email me any insight to these questions. Thanks in advance. connised@gmail.com |
