Get the NAB study guide. It's very good. Also James Allen has excellent text book and study guide too. |

I am almost done with my AIT in NY. I will probably take the exam in October or November time. I also just bought the NAB book and am thinking about taking a national exam review course, but not sure if i will.

Hey Steve, Thanks for the info. By the way, is it possible to recommend me to your administrator at the facility where you are undergoing your AIT? Please let me know if this is possible. Thank you in advance. Kevin P.S. - Is your AIT five days a week (Mon - Fri @ (9A to 5P)and paid? |

Honestly I know that the administrator is not going to want to have an additional ait after I am finished. However once I offically finish I will inquire 100%. Yes it is 5 days a week and paid. I would strongly suggest contacting the NYS doh, and ask for a list of possible preceptors in your area. |

That raises a good question. How does anyone get licensed when the state licensing process requires you to work for nothing in order to get your license. How many people don't reach their goal because they can't afford not to work for 6 months? TAH |

You are correct, but there are facilites that are looking for assitant administrators which will count towards your license. |

Yes, I actually would be interested in pursuing this option but I also think that the AIT position would be really valuable as I have no experience in the field, however, I would be willing to do what it takes to make it in this field and be the best assistant administrator possible. TAH |
