NHA exam practice tests.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to see if anyone has any practice tests they would like to e-mail. If I come across any on my own, I am willing to share those as well. I haven't yet of course. I just finished my AIT in Pittsburgh and am planning to take the NAB exam in a month or so. Any practice material would be greatly appreciated. Like I said, I am happy to share any helpful information. I know that this industry benefits when all NHA's and future NHA's do well.

Hi, I dont have practice test but I would like to know if you could share where you took your 120 hour course, where you did your AIT and how was the experience. I have just gotten interest in taking Administrator classes and looking into CCAC for classes.

There is a great practice test on ebay...type in Nab Practice Exam and you will see the one from Caregiver Connections. This group is from my area.

I have the "Principles of Health Care Administration 2009" book. It has highlighed areas but in brand new condition. It is an amazing book because everything is updated due to the 2009 edition. Very easy reading!

Just now getting started. Work alot of hours (RN,BSN). Have read most of the comments and here's what I think is recommended: NAB study guide & NAB practice test questions. Is this all in the same or 2 separate things I need to find. Would appreciate any advice on getting started!

seems what you have is excessive-I worked in a smaller facility but having any causes extra work finding coverage let alone overtime pay costs. If you have a union involved or even if not basically, the first offense you give verbal reprimand second offense written reprimand third offense another written during which the employee is suspended for how ever many days your company decides (usually 1 day) fourth offense is a written reprimand with suspension pending termination--decide with your company how long(usually 3 days) to decide if the employee is just one you can do without usually by now they are(no matter how good you are your not good if your not there) Just remember what your do to one--do the rest the same--not just CNAs-everyone top to bottom --or you will have more trouble than before. make sure you have a wittness at each meeting and make sure to write on the reprimand(even the verbal one) what the next steps are as listed above 1 thur 4 hope this is helpful

I am studying the James E. Allen Nursing Home Administration 5th edition, I also have the practice guide that goes with it. I have also heard that being familiar with the Federal Regulations is a plus.
As far as your exam, You probably could take it out of State since it is a national exam it is a standard test used by all states. You might want to contact your Board of Long Term Health Care before scheduling to ensure it is reported to the appropriate State Boards.
