I recently completed my degree in HCA and an internship with HMR. This internship is a condenced version of their six month AIT program. I live in the Upstate in SC and it seems that it is rare to fine an AIT program and those who have completed it. The more common method to becomming a HCA is as a dept head of the business office or admissions and then pass the exam and look for work as an administrator. I am looking for a position that will aid me on my goal to becomming an administrator. I understand that this would likely be in the business office, admissions or central supply and that it would be an entry level position. I have ten years of management experience in another industry but I want to transition into the LTC field where I can not only earn a paycheck but to make a difference. Any thoughts or ideas as far as where to look or open positions would be greatly appreciated. |
