I am a licensed NHA in PA so I don't know texas, but nabweb.org is a great plase to start for all states.

i have a degree in Long Term Care Administration. I graduated 5 years ago i have not taken the boards. I was the director of an alzheimers unit for 18 months. I was also the community relations rep for a hospice organization for the last 3 yrs.I want to get my NHA license for Pa but I do not know where to go form here. Can anyone help me find my next step?

A great place that I have used recently is care2learn.com. This is on line continuing ed site. They have a spot on the site that give you the info for how many credit each state needs.

The important part anyone starting is it give the state web site for nursing home administrators.

Has been really helpful to me. Hope it helps others

Dear Mr. Jude

I will be graduating in May 2009 with Masters in Healthcare Administration from University of Scranton. I am interested in becoming a nursing home administrator with license and i wanted to do administrator in training program. Would be be able to find me a preceptor who would be able to provide me with necessary guidance and support.

I would greatly appreciate your help in this regard.
