What are the top 3 traits or skills every nutritionist must have to excel?

Can you suggest any tips or insights to develop your nutritionist expertise?

I have been studying a nutritionist for awhile for a class of mine and they say the top 4 skills are patience, creativity, be well organized, and over all detail oriented.

I agree, being: detail-oriented-because you have to calculate calories, monitor budget and sanitation, and other dietary recommendations, and have a strong science background. I also think you have to be a problem solver because many times you have to write recommendations or solutions for problems, and have to try to overcome them. In addition you will be involved in coaching individuals to change eating behaviors that they've developed for many many years, so you will definitely need to be patient and a people person too.

They want you to have experience in providing nutrition counseling to clients who are at nutritional risk such as being overweight or underweight. However, i am not kidding you about this one, but when they interview candidates one of the things they look into is the physical shape of the person. Meaning you cant be overweight your self if you want to give nutritional education to others because is not giving a good example. I got that vibe when i went to the interview for Wic.
