Hi . I'm moving to austin in dec 07 as my husband has a long term contract here. My background is in neuroscience paediatrics. I am currently working as a senior clinical OT with 14 years post degree experience in glasgow, Scotland. I have been told I will have to sit exams once over here but have been having problems finding out information about this. Also I was wondering if there was any way I could work prior to sitting exams. Does anyone have any advice they could share with me , it would be very much appreciated !!! Many thanks. |

Is your degree from a US university? You can work with a temporary license until you take the exam, you just have to apply for one. I know there is a position open in the Austin school district. There is also a place called Sante Pediatrics who is looking for a full time OT. They do clinic, home health and Head Start. If you are interested, I can give you some contact info. Here is the info for getting a license in TX: www.ecptote.state.tx.us/ot/ |

You are most welcome. We've got an awesome team here. I know this because when I was with an agency I placed nearly a dozen professionals here (years later many are still working here) and they're such a great company, I went to work for them directly!! Now that says something. Have a great day!! Heather Stewart |
