Hi,
I was wondering how I would go about becoming an occupational therapy aide. I'm currently taking prereqs in order to apply to a OT grad program, but in the meantime I'd like to work as an OT aide which would help me learn about the profession and make money at the same time.

Thanks!

I believe that being an OT aide is not much different than being a rehab tech...as long as the facility has OTs working there :-)
I would suggest just inquiring with your local hospitals, SNFs, or outpatient clinics. I worked as an OT aide/ rehab tech in a SNF after volunteering there first. It paid 8/hr back in 1994. I later entered OT grad school in fall 1996. Always better to make money when some do it for free because things aren't getting any cheaper these days.

Business or public affairs degree will be of assistance.

Much regards,
