Does anyone have any information or tips on writing a really good resume for an Orthodontic Assistant? I am currently an Orthodontic Assistant but I can't ask anyone I work with for help, obviously. I have never had to write one because I was hired at the place where I externed.

You should list all skills such as; adjust wire, impressions, fit bands, fit crowns, cemented bands etc.

You should be very detailed as such : R/R arch wires, fitted & cemented bands, took digital x-rays, took records, U/l imps, invisalign knowledge & (what software you have used should also be included), placed brackets and include any certificates you have like certification or cpr or x-ray certificates.God luck to you.

e-mail me anytime, if you want a copy of my resume, or call me at 954-304-2990, even if it's after 9 p.m. for free minutes---or for that matter, send me your number and I'll call you after 9 my time, since you're probably at least an hour before me; I'll more than happy to let you see a copy of my resume, fax or mail it to you, but you're right---that IS a big step to getting and keeping the right job, especially after you've sold yourself in an interview.

I would love to get a copy of YOUR resume. I just graduated from Dental Assisting school. If you have any great ideas as to where to begin looking for positons that would be helpful as well.

i am doing a job search i was a orthodontic asst ten years ago in bay area . i moved to oregon, went to work in the plywood industry. receantley got laid off. want to go back in the dental field any sugestions please help me thank you tammy

I wish you luck. I've been seeking a Orthodontic Assistant position for 4 mont hs now. It seems the Dr's are wanting younger applicants. I'm in my 40's and have great recommendations and attendance record, but still get over looked. Perhaps you having the experiance and being younger will help you land a job. Just keep looking. Hi. I would like to see a copy of your resume if your still willing . I was an ortho assistant for about 4 years but it has been several years since I quite to raise my children. I am looking to get back to assisting but since it has been a while, I need to know what changes may have occured since then.
