How do you display your color choices to your patients?

We have lots of colors so at my office, we have one large see-through organizer that we take to each pt. That way they don't touch anything, but can still see the options..but we are a small office!

The company where you order from should have some sort of a color -code chart/card.

We have a laminated color wheel with 2 sizes of the wheel. The patients can spin the wheel and match up two colors at a time. There are about 25 different colors and they get to choose 1 or 2 colors. We keep the actual ties in a clear tackle box so they remain sterile. The wheel can be ordered through the "tie" company.

We use a hinged key ring and attach one of each color strip to it. We have one at each unit and the kids can handle these to decide on colors (the actual colors we use are kept in containers in the unit). These key rings can be washed and wiped off after handling when the unit is cleaned in between patients.
