I have a bachelors in Business Management, have some experience, but the job market is slow here right now. At some point, in the next couple years, I plan on moving to the suburbs of Chicago. Anyway, I started looking at paralegal programs for certification. CLS interested me because it is quick, 14 months, and relatively inexpensive at $1,189. Is it worth it for me to do to get an in as a paralegal? I understand a lot of it is self-directed, meaning a lot of me teaching myself...reading, etc...and that doesnt really bother me. Just wanted to see if someone could give me some thoughts... |

Since you already have a bachelor's degree a paralegal certificate program would be the way to go. At $1,189, it's a great deal. Will you find a paralegal job without experience? It will be hard, since the market is saturated with paralegals. Nonetheless, a paralegal certificate (on top of your management degree) will be attractive to employers, in and outside of the legal industry. You can't go wrong studying law. |

They offer a live lecture format from Chicago State University; Texas A&M International University; Stony Brook University. I'd opt for the live lectures, since it's the same price. |
