I would just seek a 2 year degree - an Associates degree. If she gets a 4 year degree and then gets a post-bac paralegal certificate - she'll never feel like she is getting paid what she is worth - someone with a bachelors degree. The pay just isn't there. It's like being a teacher - requires a 4 year degree, but the pay isn't that great compared to other people with 4 year degrees. Of course law firms love to require a job applicant to have a 4 year degree and a paralegal certificate, but then will pay them the same or less what they are paying their legal secretaries who only have a high school diploma. It's a weird industry.
