I have been an administrative assistant for 15 years. I want to do something that requires more. On the go, travel, family, organization, planning, and anything else needed. My children are grown and I'm a single 38 year old woman. I think I would love this job. Does anyone in the field have advice? |

Not at all. Go for it. You could also work as an estate manager, which may give you more of a challenge. |

How do you find the agencies that have individuals that you can work for? I only know of one agency in my area that have personal assistant opportunities. I really want to get out of the "Corporate" world and make a career out of being a personal assistant or estate manager. I have 15 years doing this part-time, but now want to do it full time, any suggestions? |

I have several years in this field, and I can tell you your biggest problem will probably be age discrimination, employeers typically look for younger people for these positions due to the hours and technical saavy needed. |
