My gf is now a personal assistant. She was offered 15 an hour, or 13 (being taxed). She chose the 15 an hour and she has to claim it herself.

Does she have benefits this way? Can she write things off? Does she need to register as a business or how can she maximize her tax return?

big question - can she write off a car or payments?

Thanks

she may set up her "business" as a proprietorship, she wont need to register with the state. Im not to sure of the laws in Canada. Gas can most likely written off, maybe some maintenance on the vehicle. If she states the vehicle is not for personal use then it can be written off also, however it would be difficult to claim that if she is not registered as a LLC or Corp. Check with a local tax attorney
