How deos a person find training in the pharmaceutical industry, as in training for any position? Are there any OJT positions?

Once you're hired they send you to their training. But, to get hired you need a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related field, sales experience (track record), good college GPA, among other things...being good looking and having connections always helps!! There are multiple interviews, the first one being a phone screening. If you pass that, you get the face-to-face interview, which (depending on the company) will be multiple interviews in one day or a group interview. So, to answer your question, if you don't have a college degree, start there. If you do have a college degree, get a job in sales and marketing! Start applying on the company websites, post your resume on careerbuilder, etc. And wait for your first phone interview! Also, keep your eye out for sales reps at doctor's offices! Get their card and let them know you're trying to get in the business. A lot of them are rewarded for recruiting. Also, you'll get interviewed faster if they give your name vs. you simply applying online. Read up on the interview questions! Be prepared and know about the company you're interviewing for.
