I have interview recently at walgreens for my externship. The guy who interview me said that after my extern. they will send me to the other walgreens store. I asked him if their is any problem because I dont have any experience in the pharmacy and he said "no because walgreens have a good training program".

Once your school has ended, and your externship is over, you are not guaranteed employment, you should contact career services at your school..If walgreens thought you was good enough after your extern, they would have brought you on board, or they send you on your way... |

You should try applying in pharmacies that will allow you to work without experience and still train you like cvs pharmacy, I went there and they hired me without anything |

I want to respectfully recommend applying to a course for English Language Learners (ELL) based on what I've read above. Perhaps English language skills are the impedence here, not the lack of pharmacy experience. Have you taken the pharmacy-tech-certification exam and passed it? If not, you will definitely need the language skills in order to comprehend the test questions if you take the test in English. If you intend to seek work in a pharmacy in an area that serves clientele who speak your native language, then that is another matter. If you are seeking an externship and/or employ in a pharmacy that caters to a predominately English-speaking consumer base, however, then brushing up on advanced English expression and grammar is an absolute must. I hope this is of some help, to all of you. |
