Has anyone graduated for the Gatlin pharmacy technican program and got an internship at Walgreen? Many colleges and university offer the program but I wanted to hear from others about how there experience was with the program and did gatlin assist in finding an externship site? Was it worth it? |

No, i will not recommend gatlin education. They did not require ANY hands on training, everything was open book, the math book had like twenty mistakes in it, they did not in any way shape or form teach ETREBY and they never tell you about your own state's certification or license processes to get ready when u leave the course. I actually want to take them to small claims and get all my money back. |

I went through Gatlin. I was satisfied with the study materials but disappointed that I did not get an externship out of it. The externship was one of the reasons why I chose Gatlin. When it came time for the externship I was told that there were no openings at any local Walgreens. I had the option to choose Walgreens or CVS. I also did not not get a hospital externship. I wrote 2 papers instead. I believe it would have helped to have the externships hands-on experience. Took me 6 months before I got first job. |

I went through Gatlin, and I was very satisfied with the study materials too. However, I did get an externship out of it. I went through my local Walgreen's. Now, I did not get a hospital externship, because I was told, "You have to be a pharmacy intern, not a pharmacy technician. But, if you are a pharmacy technician, then you would have to go through a tech college who is ASHP approved, which has clinicial's set up with them" but that was the only disappointing thing for me. I now work for CVS Pharmacy, and I am CPhT. |
