I am looking for a pharmacy tech job in CA but I have a concern about employment background checks and my use of medical marijuana.
I use mm to alleviate pain and nausea caused by a serious medical condition I have had since my teens. I am responsible and do not come to work after smoking. I smoke after work.
Do pharmacies typically do random drug testing or is it usually just pre-employment? What type of testing do they use (hair, urine, saliva)?
When conducting background checks do they try to find this type of information? I just have a recommendation from a mm doctor.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
