Need help with a pharm tech school tapered dose RX ..... Can someone please help me resolve this?

A doctor's RX reads Prednisone 10mg tablets # QS. The SIG is:

30mg bid x 2d
25mg bid x 2d
20mg bid x 2d
15mg bid x 2d
10mg qd x 2d
5mg qd x 2d

I need to calculate the total number of tablets needed to fill the RX. I than need help in writing up the correct patient label that would come with the order. Please feel free to e-mail me your solution at a.stefanowicz@att.net.

Since, using 10mg tabs

3+2.5+2+1.5+1+.5 = 11 tabs in total including the 0.5 tabs
