My boss told me this morning that I should get registered by the state after passing my PTCB, but I am not sure what the benefits are. I have to pay an upfront fee plus a biannual fee, but for what? Does this increase my pay or open up more job opportunities? I'm not in a position to just throw money around. Thanks!

It's because the state pharmacy board in your city requires it and if they found out that you are working without registration or licensure there will be stiff sanctions.

Renewal is required every two years in Florida.
