Thomas Nelson Community College offers phlebotomy training twice a year. The next session won't be available until August. So as soon as registration is available, do it!

mci has a phlebotomy course starting in september in the virginia beach campus try to find out more from craigslist and you will need to talk to paula, i just did the course is only 6 weeks

Hi my name is felicia and there is a program through norfolk state and the cost is 500.00 the next course starts in the falls. The teacher name is Mrs. milred Fuller she is excellent i mean excellent teacher. Once u finish the program u have a week of intershio in 4 different hospital and that is your foot in the door. Hi, My daughter was telling me about this course and said that a person can take this course and go to work right way. She was told this from someone that paid her way through college entirely from working as a phlebotomist and the quick training she had in just a matter of days. Is this true and who hires someone to just take blood? What else does a phlebotomist do and is there work in Hampton Roads for someone who takes this course and it is not in conjuction with any other course?

How much can someone that takes this course expect to earn doing this sort of thing? Is this a course to enhance a current line of work only or is this something a person could do for a living independent of a career in say nursing or medical tech? If so,what all is involved in being a phlebotomist besides drawing blood?
