Hello Yoomi: I recently completed my PBT course and can't find a job. I did not want to discourage you - I say go for it. This might not be a good time for PBT but things will change. right now the economy is not good and actually Lab Corp & Health Quest has been laying off people. The test book that I found very simple to understand & step by step instructions is called "Pblebotomy Worktest and Procedures Manual" second edition by Robin Warekois and Richard Robinson. Since I don't have a job, I am studying at home for my certification by the State - & hope that would put me in a better opportunity to get a job. Most places that I have seen want 1-2 years experience - but no one will give you the chance to get the experience. I did this course to get out of a dead end job so that I can provide better for my family. Good luck with your course. If you need help just drop me a line at: ccollins42@verizon.net |
