Do I have a chance

So here is what happen

Have 4 misdemeanor arrests on my record. No convictions, I am 31 and three of these arrests occured in 2002. 2 of them were DUI arrests was deferred completed supervision and conviction was dismissed. 3rd was for a paraphernalia arrest same thing deferred and cOnviction was dropped. The 4th was the most unfortunate as it happened this past May, was A passenger in a car and was pulled over and the person driving wouldn't own up to the weed in the car and both went down for same crime. Went to court and was lucky to get deferment and case is in pending status until august of next year where it will b dismissed.

I am currently entering last couple levels of fieldwork and have done the FBI check which brings up arrests w no convictions. First will I be able to do my fieldwork and second even if I am allowed to do fw will I be able to get licensed and get a job. Don't want any judgement just straight answers. Thanks in advance!!

You should have no problem getting your license... I've hired dozens of people over the years with situations like yours... no one is perfect, and we've all done very stupid things when we were younger... just be honest on your app if they ask if you have any pending charges, etc... sometimes the pending charges do not even make it to the official records for a while,, so there's also the chance it will not show up... you may want to spend $25 - $30 and pull your own background to see if it is there...

You just lifted my morale a few levels. Thanks for that!! My main concern at this point is being able to finish the last two rounds of fieldwork so I can sit for the exam and subsequently graduate. Paid 80K to come to school, If I were to have to wait a year or worse not graduate at all. That would truly be devastating. As far as the background check goes, I had to get an FBI fingerprint clearance. The background check shows every arrest on my record on the rap sheet. However the main page shows "record exists with no convictions" I guess I just need to hope and pray they dont want to see the rap sheet!

Thanks , you just lifted my morale a couple levels. My main concern is being able to complete the last two rounds of clinicals. If I cant finish the last two rounds, I wont graduate and will be 80K in the hole!! I had to get an fbi clearance for the background check. IT reads that I have an arrest record but no convictions. The second page is the rap sheet which includes every arrest, which I would like to keep to myself. I feel if they ask to see the rap sheet that would prolly spell the end of my PT dream.
