Does it make sense for me to become a DPT?

I am a graduate student currently taking biology courses. I was thinking about becoming a PT but the school I want to attend does not offer financing. The program would cost something close to $90,000 total. It could be more but I wanted to make sure that this would be a good investment. With private financing the interest would be liability.

In California where I live PT make between $60,000-$120,000 per year. Is it difficult to earn money on the higher end of this scale as a PT in California? Is this too much money for such a program?

I just wanted to get a realistic opinion about this issue. Thanks so much.

While I don't live in CA. It is very difficult to make 120,000 as a entry level clinician. You would need to work be a partner in a private practice or be a high level rehab director to approach that upper limit.
