I was looking into this program, which is accredited, and was wondering how a degree from an online program would look to future employers? The program does require students to travel to the school for hands-on experience; the information on the website says the student will be required to be at the school for a total of approximately seven weeks over the course of the 2-yr program. But I wonder if employers would just be turned off by the fact that most of it is online. I live in an area where there are several brick & mortar programs available, but I'm interested in this because I could get started in January 2010, as opposed to waiting until Fall 2010 for the programs in my area. Any thoughts? |

I don't believe this training can be done online. You need to interact with real people, different body types. Your classmates become your patients. I'd never take it online as I feel I would never be a competent PTA if graduated an online PTA program. This is a very hands-on training, virtual training just won't cut it. |
