My name is nick carter and am currently in a pta program. I have an exercise science degree as well. I have been working as a personal trainer for two years now so I know the customer service aspect of one on one relationships. I have been reading about many pta careers and the income figures are all over the place. I was thinking of being a dpt but to be honest if I can make 70-100 grand as a pta while pursuing a master's in exercise science I would be happy. Its not just about the money I am very passionate about fitness, health and rehabilitation. I take pride in what I do. Its just hard for me to gauge an accurate income when many of these home health companies are going to inflate their numbers to maximize potential pta's going for their jobs. Is it possible to be in home health work 30-40 hours a week and make 40-50 an hour. Do these places provide insurance and such? I would assume so as I read in your response you have to be a w2 employee.
