Hi, I am eager to get into a program and start working towards my degree and my new career - but I didn't take Human Anatomy & Physiology in either high school or during my last stint in college. Does anyone know of a school that will let you take these prerequisites together with your first year PTA courses? I don't want to waste a whole year just to do these few classes before applying to the program.
Thanks.

No, you have to complete anatomy and physiology course before getting accepted into any PTA program. Everything you study in a PTA program is based on these courses.

Good luck

I don't mind taking the classes - I just don't want to turn a two-year program into a three year program. I see that some colleges offer programs where the first year concentrates on Gen Ed and the PTA core classes take up the second year. The school I had hoped to apply to had two full years of PTA core classes, so I was hoping someone had a recommendation for a good school that offers the prerequisites as a part of the two-year program.
Anyone?

Most of the programs I'm looking at (community colleges in Massachusetts) include A&P as part of the progam itself, not as a prereq. But they do have some other prereqs, like Biology (you need this as a prereq for A&P), or math and communications proficiencies. One of them has medical terminology as a prereq. They all vary a lot, but none of them have extensive prereqs.
