I am interested in applying to the PA program in Augsburg college in minneapolis. Is there anyone out there who has been to this college or ever applied to it? I was interested in knowing what they look for and if it is difficult to get into the program.

Hello there. I went to Augsburg PA program and graduated in 1999. I absolutely loved the program, although it was $$$. I got the best education there and super clinical rotations. The faculty was at the time anyway GREAT and I know the current staff is pretty great as well. All PA programs are a challenge for entry, just as hard if not more than medical school. Best of LUCK!!

Thanks for your comment. I know their program is 36 months long and I was wondering how that went for you. Does it seem long in comparison to other 2 yr programs? The money thing is a big thing that I have been considering too. Did you get access to adequate financial aid? Also can you tell me alittle about your application process and interview. I hope you still remember, anything you can tell me will be appreciated. I graduate this May with Biomedical science and my GPA is 3.28 so far.

The program is not long when you think that when you get out you are put on the front lines of patient care. I did get GREAT financial aid, although I still am paying off my loans. The application process and interview process have change quite a bit in the pasty 10 years so I don't think I would rely on my help there. GPA is fine, but more importantly what kind of patient care experiences/volunteerism have you had? Have you shadowed a PA b/c you definately need to have that kind of exposure and experience. Good Luck
