You have to get a bachelor's degree before becoming a PA. Worry about getting into a college for undergrad and then work on pre-PA prerequisites. Do more research on the field and learn more about what it really takes to become a PA in today's world. Most people have the misconception that there are pre-med, pre-professional majors in the health field, but that really is not the case. Such things are called concentrations that will help build you up and meet the requirements to apply to professional schools during your junior year of college. |

You're in high school, right? HAVE FUNNNNN!! No one ever told me this but guess what?!... your grades don't matter! I know, crazy right?! Do you know that !00% of the PA schools you apply to will NEVER see your high school transcripts. College is another story....let me know if you have any questions, dollface.:) |

Get all As in your pre-reqs. Gain medical experience even if it is volunteer. PA for 16 years, doing very well. If I had to do it over would have gone the MD route. |

^^ to the above post what did you do to get your direct care patient hours? I already graduated with my bachelor and am wondering if I should get a certification in MA or EMT to get those hours. Please let me know about your experience |
