I like the Miller Trailblazer Pro 350 Diesel because it has AC/DC capability but I like the style of the Lincoln SA-250. I appericiate the info. If I can ever get on with the 798 and advance to Welder, I'll probably get an SA-250 or Classic 300.

Personally, I'm a Miller guy, because I've always thought that Miller had a more focused and smooth arc. The engines in the old diesel SA 250's we're better than the ones in the Big 50 Millers, but that's changed here the last couple of years. I've got 3 machines, two Millers and a Lincoln, and I use my Millers more because they fine tune better. As far as the duty cycles, they are comparable between the two if you're comparing the same size machines. Most Millers are only going to get 60% if you're running them @ 200 amps or more. Nowadays with the advance of electronics, it's more of a personal preference than anything. I'll weld a cat's ass to a plate glass window with either of them, I'd just rather do it with a Miller.

I love my pipe-pro got a good price on it 10400 same as a 200d.Ifeel it is a more verstile machine and it puts out 400 plus amps it has excellent arc it downhills as good or better than any lincoln ive ever used I will say it took me awhile to find its sweet spot but once I did well what can I say other than I am satisfied with my money spent it is a woderful tig unit as well best there is just my opinion

The Fowler Mainliner is not about Chopped or the Yanmars, its about the inside windings and the where and who built it .If you want a chopped down Mainliner with a yanmar it can be done BUT with the price tag of around 15g's, Want to buy one? How about the same exact machine but not chopped and powered by a Continental (gas) for lets say $8-9g's,now you can buy 2. Mr. Tom is about to do away with the Yanmar, Besides hes ready to retire.....

Yes you will need to call Mr. Tom and ask him prices. The prices I told you were a just around price that I was told and you know how that can be. He told me he dont put Mainliner stickers on them anymore and I dont know why? I wish I could keep the mainliner Legasy alive because I see and hear the reactions of the people that want and buy them.

oooppss... turns out my Lincoln SA 200 Pipeliner for sale is actually a 1936 according to Lincoln's serial number chart.

also have a refurbished Miller Wildcat 350G with Waukesha motor. 2800 hours, which is just getting broken in for a Waukesha. typically 20k hour to first top end. 40k hours for bottom end refresh.

rated at 350amp at 100% duty cycle... max output is 500+ amps. very smooth focused arc... would make an excellent Oil Field welder.

welds great and look good with fresh Miller Blue Paint.
all the long term maintenance has been done.

please provide email for more info...

thanks... Charles in Tulsa

I see some of you looking for someone to go into the generator of your machines. I see Tom Fowler has been mentioned but you also have Mr. Leo Martinez (Martinez Electric) in Thibodaux, LA, Howard Wyatt in Mt. Olive, MS and Kevin and John Stumpf (Stumpf Welding Supplies) in Mascoutah, ILL. All these men are very good at what they do so the only question is how much are you willing to spend.
