Hello,

I'm relatively new to Pipe Welding. Been doing it for about a year now. Currently I am in Greenville, SC taking FLUOUR's weekend upgrade your Pipe skills program. My parents, and extended family, are telling/advising me that since FLUOUR is being "so nice" I should stick with them for 4-5 years. However, when I went through welding school my instructor often told me about how he'd travel from jobsite to jobsite doing 4 week to 3 month shutdowns with different companies throughout the year.

My question is: Will it hurt my employment record if I am some road-dog who goes from company to company, YET, still finishes the job he's assigned to?

STAY AWAY FROM THE TEMP AGENCIES AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!! They are temp agencies for a reason. The few times I have worked through staffing companies, I had problems.. Like anything else, if you find an honest staffing company, keep their number.
I have found its better to develop relationships with your co workers and they can help you find good jobs.
