I would like to know if any one here in this network community knows of any companies hiring rig welders at the moment. I'm an LA city certified welder D1.1 structural (semi auto and stick) D1.3 Light-gauge (semi auto and stick) D1.4 Reinforced steel (Stick) AWS certified as well. ASME 6G certified with 6010 root and 7018 All also D1.5 bridge. I have 1 rig fully setup and still working on setting up a second rig. just in case work starts kicking in soon. with Big 50 diesel welder, Big Ingresoll rand compressor to back gouge and repair welds also have Trailblazer 302 new model, XMT 350 and XMT 304 and miscellaneous tools for structural Fabricating and erecting out in the field I'm also C51 fabricator Bonded and insure well if there is any firms out there looking for a rig welder let me know well thanks I will greatly appreciate it. |

Well to my understanding they most of the time don't hire rig welders all they are looking for most of the time is either iron workers or single hand welders. I know the steel industry is slow right now well at least here in California it is. Some companies try to low ball me by offering 45 an hour LOL with a rig come on and then on top of that supply them the wire. worst case scenario for now I'm just going have to look for a single hand job at least for a few months till things start picking up again but we will see thanks for the advise thought. |

I here you im out of Orange County local 582. Fitter/Welder also work has been pretty slow the last few years but my brother andi have stayed pretty busy by welding.Try local 250 in Gardena you never know they might need a rig welder 45$ a hour is BS for a rig welder! |
