I know the answer mate but what I want is if a pipefitter usednumbers, they should know where it came from. It is 1.5 is the multiplier for long radius elbow which is in inches diameter. 38.1 is 1.5 x 25.4= 38.1 ....It does mean that if you use 38.1 then the answer is automatically converted to millimeter because 1"=25.4 mm
