Made a Drano Bomb in College. . .

I made a Drano bomb in college and although that is the only blemish on my record and the polygraph adminster said it should be no big deal, the background investigator said I will probably be disqualified. No one was around at the time we made the bomb and it was near the girl's dorm, just to scare them. We had no idea it was a felony at the time--it was just boys being stupid, which is what I told the investigator.

Any thoughts? Will this disqualify me?
