I am looking for federal or PA state grants to help pay for my ACT 120 training, which is required to become a LEO in PA. Most of the departments in my area, as far as 30+ miles require that any candidate for employment be ACT 120 certified (out of pocket) prior to being hired. From what I've seen, this costs between $3000 - $4500 depending which academy you choose to go to and I do not have that kind of money, considering I've just graduated college and jobs in general are tough to come by in my locale. If anyone can help me in any way, it would be greatly appreciated!
