I have a considerable amount of experience in onsite real estate sales (new neighborhood rep) and have been told that what we do is similar to what is done as part of an Apartment Mgt team. We are sales driven, above all and also deal with keeping up appearance of neighborhood, lots of customer service, like dealing with customer issues during the building process and some after the move in, but for the most part these go to warranty dept. Is that similar? Is there set goals that everyone on the team must meet? Is there a lot of room for advancement, bonuses, salary+commission? Vacation time and benefits?? When having to evict, is it hard? Do you work all weekends? Is it enjoyable or a big headache? Really enjoy what I do, but with real estate market slowing, would really like some info on this line of work, since seems very similar to what I do a lot of now. Don't mind working weekends, but get none off now. One big factor, is that I would like to continue doing something like what I do now, but also be able to do general real estate on the side. Constantly have people needing to buy or sale a home and want me to be their agent, but can only sell for the homebuilder I work with. Could do both this way, but not steady enough work to go into general real estate full time and like having set salary and benefits. Any thoughts on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
