Applied for a dispatcher job for some "local Company" on indeed. Then I started receiving e-mails from some guy posing as a recruiter from RTS - Robinsons Transportation Services. It's a scam, they just want you to pay for some crap study guide for a "placement test". I caught on early, so thought I'd give you guys a heads up. BEWARE RTS - Robinsons Transportation Services!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I got an email from a Geoff Franklin saying he was a hiring manager for the emergency dispatcher position and asked me to take a assessment test, and you had to buy a manual, but I didn't buy the manual I just took the test, thanks for the heads up I surely didn't know it was a scam, no wonder he didn't provide any phone number, and won't answer my emails. |
|
11Blookout in Fresno, California 9 months ago |
Yeah, I laughed when I saw the suggestion to buy a study guide and just took the test as well. |
|
Nicki in Chicago, Illinois 9 months ago |
Have you received a response from the recruiter? |
|
11Blookout in Fresno, California 9 months ago |
No, but after I they wanted me to buy some thing the alarm bells started ringing. I did a little research. The building at the address given has never heard of the company and their website has only been online for a couple of months. If you go to their website there is a 888 number, nobody ever answers. I went to the website that the studyguide was in, tried to call them and just continuously got a busy signal. All signs point to scam. |

I found it odd that he would send me emails before I found time to reply to previous ones. I had applied for so many jobs though so I sort of lost tabs on the names of smaller companies. After googling a few searches I found that they have this same scam going under 5 or 6 different company names. |

I didnt buy the study guide but it all the typos in the "assessment" sent up the biggest of red flags...Geoff and company should be ashamed of themselves! |

I just so happen to google Robinson Transportation Services, as I'm filling out the employee profile, I thought it was wierd that I didn't see any info at all. Any legit company that provides that type of service would have a web presence. So, then I came across this. Just when you think you have a lead on a job opportunity, you find out its a bunch of B.S. What a disappointment! F.U. Geoff Franklin |

This guy Geoff Franklin needs to hang it up! He emailed me the first time and it was way past 7 p.m., which I thought was a bit unprofessional. I didn't bother to avoid the email out of curiosity. However, upon entering his BS website, I knew it was a scam. His website has the phoniest photos of employees, that it would be just ridiculous to even feed into interest. I mean compare his website (every tab) to the home page, and then to other "real," professional websites. He uses some of the same photos under different tabs, and it just appeared as a "cut & paste" website. In the words of a wise man, Geoff, "stop playing with yourself." I think today I'll send him a job offer being as though he is the one whom appears to be "out of work/income." LOL. Bucker! [With an F instead of a B] |

Thank you for posting this, I also received an e-mail, he didn't ask me to buy anything and sent a PDF of the job posting. But reading all this information as much as I need a job, I'm not taking any chances. Thank you for all the info |

I too wasted my time and took that long assessment thinking I had a possible job offer! smh! ughh! I hope no one falls for Geoff Franklin! I am going to send him a haunting email!!!!! MAN! I had a feeling it was too good to be true.. |

How disappointing. I didn't remember sending this company anything, but after you send out a couple of hundred resume's, you start to loose track.

Well...I too have apparently been screwed over. I am like a few of you and after you put so many apps out there trying to find a job and you can and do forget how many apps went out and where they all went. The invitation to such a job that appeared to be right in line with what I had done and was looking for. I was forced out of my previous job after working in that line of work for 22 years and they started cutting jobs and then hired people with less training and seniority and the biggest reason....to save money. I thank everyone for posting these comments & information, wished I would have found it sooner. |

I am in the same boat as most of you. I have sent out many resumes. I remember actually applying. I was happy to get an email, I took the assesment, and emailed him yesterday. I was just online today and found this forum. I feel like such a fool. I googled the name and found this forum :( |

The "NEW" hiring manager's name is Patrick Daniels. Same routine... didn't know it was a scam, until I looked at the so-called website... 5 pages with bunk info... Thanks for the heads up... |

I received the same type of emails...it was from a Patrick Daniels though. I didn't get as far as the assessment, just the pre-employment questionnaire and felt like I wanted to google more about the company. Thankfully I did and came across this site. Like all of you it is disappointing when you think you have a lead on a job that fits, but glad you all have spoken up. Happy job hunting....and Patrick Daniels...Karma is a B@#$%. The position he contacted me for was a Logistics Specialist. |

I received two emails from this AS%$&E Patrick Daniels about the Logistics "Specilalist" position...I would love to know how to scam him directly to the Police Department and make him pay for this BS!!!!! I am so upset... |

Well Well Well... This is info is truly a blessing!!! I was preparing to respond to a second email and stumbled upon this... Just imagine those that don't see this and those that pay for the manual! I would have realized that this was some BS once I got to the part about purchasing something. I'm curious as if Law Enforcement could address this crap??? I was contacted by a Patrick Daniels, via email of course... I think I'll ask him to call me!!! Lol... |

I too was contacted by Patrick Daniels for Logistics Specialist position and like everyone else out of work was excited to get any kind of response to a resume. Got as far as the email for the assessment test and also became suspicious when they were looking for a purchase. Went on Study Warehouse Guide site and not a single book was reviewed (strange), then went to Amazon, if they don't have it, it doesn't exist. Maybe we should all go on the website and start reviewing the books as part of a scam. Google the RTS address in Baltimore lots of virtual office listing. I'll be in Baltimore in a couple of weeks maybe I'll pay Mr. Daniels a visit. BTW called the RTS # it's been disconnected. Thanks everyone for the post saved me $20.00, Good luck on the job search. |

I just recieved my 3rd email today from Geoff Franklin telling me that they are still reviewing my application and they wanted to call me for a phone interview but I had to do an assessment and a questionaire. I already did the assessment though and when I clicked on the link and it took me to some bogus site so I googled the company and I found this!! I can't believe this but I'm glad I came across this forum! |

Was wondering if the questionnaire required any identifying information such as social security number...I actually applied for a dispatcher position with the city of Charlotte, and I thought that this was part of the hiring process |

I feel so very stupid-I paid for the manual and took the test. Some people were telling me that it seemed odd to ask for money to purchase a manual to take a test, I also thought that it was odd. Anyway, like a stupid nut, being desperate for a job, I paid and purchased manual, studied for test and took it. I thought to get back to him to ask GEOFF FRANKLIN when should I be expecting to hear from him if I passed the test. When I went back to try to find his number or ANY number, I couldn't find one. I never fall for these kind of things and thought it was legit-I really feel stupid and very angry. Does anyone remember if we had to give our social security numbers? I can't find any papers that I copied. Thanks to everyone for your comments. |

They are using a semi-legitimate payment processing company, ClickBank. www.clickbank.com/index.html Call ClickBank and demand your money back, they should provide a refund. The ClickBank vendor selling the guides is www.clickbank.com/spotlightProfile.htm?f=mkt&v=SAGER2010 ClickBank needs to cancel that account but so far they have not. |

Beware of Kevin Wilson, Jeremy Jones from Advocate medical careers located in Georgia state. I received numerous emails from them stating there are steps needed to be done to be hired. I completed all of them, never got an answer. I completed their test. yes, they asked to buy a book for this test but we are looking for job that means we need to make not to spend money. of course, i didnt but but still cannot get what all this was about-only for a book? this is ridiculous to waste someone's time just for that. they should just place it in amazon instead of cheating people promising jobs. freaks are all around. oh yes, they never answer emails and their phones are disconnected. |
